Leislies Farran is a linguist, translator, and educator with years of experience in multilingual teaching and cross-cultural communication. He wrote The World of Emily inspired by his students of Spanish and French, and by his childhood friend, microbiologist Elena Moreno. As teens, Leislies was the linguist and Elena the scientist—they dreamed of uniting science and storytelling.
